STATEMENT OF NEED

WHILE WE ARE PROUD OF OUR PAST EFFORTS, THE REALITY IS THAT THERE IS SO MUCH MORE TO DO. AS GRATIFYING AS IT IS TO HAVE HELPED SO MANY JEWS RECONNECT WITH THEIR HERITAGE, OUR FOCUS IS ON THE PEOPLE WE HAVE NOT YET REACHED AND THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN REACHED BUT ARE LOOKING FOR MORE LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES. SINCE ITS INCEPTION ALMOST TWENTY YEARS AGO, TORAH LINKS HAS OPERATED OUT OF MODEST SPACE PROVIDED BY BMG WHICH HAS LIMITED OUR ABILITY TO EXPAND OUR PROGRAMS. WE ARE FORCED TO RELY ON THE GENEROSITY OF FAMILIES, SHULS AND YESHIVOS TO HOST OUR PROGRAMS WHICH REQUIRES US TO LIMIT THEIR SCOPE. THE TIME HAS COME FOR TORAH LINKS TO BUILD A PERMANENT CAMPUS THAT WILL INCLUDE THE APPROPRIATE FACILITIES FOR TORAH LINKS TO ACCOMMODATE ITS FUTURE ACTIVITIES.

LAKEWOOD FELLOWSHIP

While college season breaks total almost half the year, our current programs are limited to two months each year. Many students would extend their stay if given the opportunity.

It’s a challenge for us to host more than a handful of shabbatonim each year for the scores of alumni, married and single, who live in driving distance to Lakewood and would love more follow-up programs throughout the year.

POST -ISRAEL

YESHIVA PROGRAM

Upon their return from studying in

Israel, there are few options, aside from our summer yeshiva track, for young men who want to be in an environment where they can continue their Torah growth and find mentors who will help them integrate personally & professionally in the Jewish community.  We are currently limited to the summer months and only a handful of boys.

LINKS SHABBATONIM

AND SPECIAL EVENTS

Our ability to fulfill the regular

requests we receive from Torah Links branches and outreach organizations

throughout the country, community and campus-based, to host their groups for Lakewood Fellowship style programs or Yarchei Kallah, is very limited.

NER LE'ELEF

ADVANCED TRAINING

While BMG boasts an impressive cadre of idealistic rabbis looking to make their mark on the broader Jewish community, the gap between the yeshiva environment and the rapidly evolving secular society is growing. A more robust practicum is necessary for these rabbis to continue their development as future Jewish community leaders.
