OUR MISSION
TO ALLOW FOR OUR CONTINUED GROWTH WHILE MAINTAINING THE HIGH LEVEL OF EXCELLENCE WE HAVE COME TO BE KNOWN FOR, A FACILITY WITH PROPER INFRASTRUCTURE IS NECESSARY. A NEW CAMPUS FEATURING AN INTERNATIONAL OUTREACH CENTER IS PLANNED IN THE HEART OF LAKEWOOD, WHICH WILL ALLOW US TO DRAMATICALLY INCREASE OUR PROGRAMMING AND BECOME THE PREMIER KIRUV INSTITUTION IN NORTH AMERICA. THE NEEDS HAVE BEEN IDENTIFIED AND EVALUATED. PRIORITIES HAVE BEEN ESTABLISHED AND GOALS HAVE BEEN DETERMINED. TO ACCOMPLISH THESE GOALS AND OBJECTIVES A $7 MILLION CAPITAL CAMPAIGN HAS BEEN LAUNCHED.
STATEMENT OF NEED
LAKEWOOD FELLOWSHIP
While college season breaks total almost half the year, our current programs are limited to two months each year. Many students would extend their stay if given the opportunity.
it’s a challenge for us to host more than a handful of shabbatonim each year for the scores of alumni, married and single, who live in driving distance to Lakewood and would love more follow-up programs throughout the year.
POST-ISRAEL
YESHIVA PROGRAM
Upon their return from studying in Israel, there are few options, aside from our summer yeshiva track, for young men who want to be in an environment where they can continue their Torah growth and find mentors who will help them integrate personally & professionally in the Jewish community. We are currently limited to the summer months and only a handful of boys.
LINKS SHABBATONIM
AND SPECIAL EVENTS
Our ability to fulfill the regular requests we receive from Torah Links branches and outreach organizations through-out the country, community and campus-based, to host their groups for Lakewood Fellowship style programs or Yarchei Kallah, is very limited.
NER LE'ELEF
ADVANCED TRAINING
While BMG boasts an impressive cadre of idealistic rabbis looking to make their mark on the broader Jewish community, the gap between the yeshiva environment and the rapidly evolving secular society is growing. A more robust practicum is necessary for these rabbis to continue their development as future Jewish community leaders.
PLANS TO MEET THE NEED
FUTURE HOME OF TORAH LINKS
Torah Links plans to build a 30,000 square-foot state-of-the-art building on a 1-acre-plus campus off Central Ave in the heart of Lakewood. The campus will feature first-class facilities and host a full-time educational staff that will enable Torah Links to meet its ambitious goals.
The top floor will feature a 14-room dormitory which will have the capacity to host 70 program participants. Each room will have its own full bath and shower.
The main floor will showcase a Main Study Hall, Library, Career Center and Lecture Hall. The diversity of options the space offers will give us the flexibility to conduct a variety of simultaneous programs for groups large and small. This floor will be home to the Ner LeElef Kollel as well.
The lower level will include a multi-purpose gym and fitness center which will provide a more enjoyable experience for students who participate in long-term programs. Indoor and outdoor student lounges are planned as well where students can productively spend their down-time in a relaxed environment.
Torah Links has become and is recognized as one of the foremost Kiruv institutions of our time, creating innovative programs that share the beauty and depth of Torah and Judaism.
